2023-2024 Russian Nationals Jumping Championships

They did it when they were obvious favorites. Chen is very much the Sensible Dress Champion, but men actually do have better choices than women. If Trusova continued to compete and become influential in sport, that would have been great. But her legacy is a bit dicey, unfortunately, with so many of her achievements being dismissed in favor of the conservatie ideas and not rocking the boat. I am waiting for someone to bring that point home and start the adoption of more athletic oriented, ice arena suitable competing outfits. Like, something that can be laundered between competitions, and what they can go to the bathroom in and not catch another pneumonia etc.
I would not say it's so simple, Trusova for example wore full-body costumes also during the peak of 3A, when she was certainly not sure to win against Anna and Aliona.
And unitards have also been quite popular with pairs women of all skill levels for some time, from pairs struggling to place in the top 15 at Euros to podium contenders.

Yup, and it is indicative that bodysuits are comfortable.

A novice and a junior won. That was predictable. They are the favourites in a competition where there are no PCS.

The trick is always to keep that jumping content in seniors, of course.
Yes and she likely wont, but the point was that her PCS isnt low that she would be struggling by senior standards in her current form.
