That was a nice pairs event to watch. Everyone performed to potential. The Canadians are clearly the most experienced team. Just have to give a shout out the Cayla. She's the perfect pairs' girl. I think she is going to drag Jared up to her level with her enthusiam and smiles within a few years.
Too bad they don't have a pewter medal like at US Nationals.

Yes, pairs are allowed to repeat jumps in combinations.

Yes, it applies to seniors as well. You might see skaters do 2As as the solo jump in the free skate, and then repeat the 2A in a jump sequence. Not as common because skaters usually do two different triple jumps to demonstrate that they can, and because the jump set ups are different to create a better look in the program.

i guess because we very rarely see that in seniors ( i don't think I have ever noticed any) , i always thought they had to do two different jumps...
the things we learn every day in this sport... crazy considering I am supposed to know the rules LOL after all these years lol...

Not many teams could pull it off. Mishina/Gallimov are the closest that I can think of because they were doing 3S+1Eu+3S, 3T, but in theory they could have done 3S, and then 3T+1Eu+3S.

I never had a problem with 3s-Eu-3s.. it's like 3t-3t
Hold on... Can you clarifiy this : the first jump of the series needs to be different from the solo jump ?
A team couldn't do 3t and then 3t-eu-3s right ?
