2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games | Jan 27 - Feb 1

I will say that I have seen Ilin/Cain skate much better than this. They seemed tight and nervous.

Of course, they are just kids! And that is refreshing. This is more fun to watch than the JGP, TBH

Going to be in bed when this starts, so this is a placeholder.

Free Dance starts in 6 hours from now.

Thanks for these links! I've been having trouble consistently finding a workable link from day to day, watching from Canada, and I did so much want to see the Brits. I very seldom form a fanship for any skater(s), tending to just watch everyone on the day and like some in one competition and others another time, but I've grown quite fond of these two kids and their ability as performers. I didn't see the RD so I don't know what happened to place them in a lower
flight, but they certainly poured it on in the FS! :jump::yahoo:

And now for the last of the "normal" competitions at the Youth Olympics.

Livestream for Ladies FS is now on air.

Awww, thanks.

:thank:

I have been finding the same when making out the reminder posts. The streams for this event are difficult to find.

I have been watching on Discovery+, so as to avoid getting plagued with adverts on YouTube when not watching live. They normally have everything so well organised into dedicated pages for individual sports, which makes streams so easy to find. But for these Youth Olympics, they haven't been doing that. To find the streams, you have to go to the daily schedule page. This wouldn't be so bad if they still used the old page layout where you just had to scroll down the page to the stream you want. But they changed the layout last year so that each hour only has one row, so you have to keep scrolling right to find what you are looking for.

At least the old schedule page layout is still used on the Eurosport website.

WIth the Olympic Channel streams, I have had to go to previous streams from the event, and then click on the "See All" button to take me to a live video schedule page (which I can't find an alternative way to get to). And then find it from there.

Thankfully the YouTube channel that has been streaming it has now been added to the OP. So that has made things easier.

02:30 was just a little bit too early for me, but I'm here now. I'm going to catch up on the Free Dance later on, after this is over. And after breakfast, etc.

I really like Ash and Atl too, so I can't wait to see how they got on.

So, please no spoilers, anybody, during this!

Thank you for telling us what the song was about, Graham. Because I was enjoying it.

And, on the whole, I liked her dress. But, I'm not sure about the wavy lines going through the illusion mesh section above the neckline.

Unfortunately, the skating didn't go entirely to plan for Sofia.

But, at least she didn't fall.

She leads for now, but we will have to wait and see if she improves her position.

Wow Sherry, wow!!! Well done!! Love her spins and choreo seq so much 😍

She's definitely my favorite American junior, too bad her SP didn't work at all here. Let's see how far she can climb! I might set up a kill count ;)

you know... my youtube knows i want to watch live figure skating... so i just go to youtube and it's there, suggested for me :)

Sienna's jumps and spin aren't bad, but she can definitely use some improvement in her skating skills and the moves in between components.
Great to see her staying on her feet for all her jumps though!

Did anyone watching on Peacock see the stream cut out briefly during the Australian's skate? I think it disliked the music box cover at the beginning...

Eve is skating to Frozen by Madonna - when the commentator mentioned Frozen, I fully thought it was going to be Disney's Frozen 😅

Speaking of which, I'm actually quite surprised I haven't seen any Disney Frozen program, not even in the junior ranks. Maybe it's more of a novice thing? (I'm sure neither of us want to hear Let It Go much in skating, but I just thought it's something younger skaters would like to skate to haha)
