So far it's been an exciting and excellent world championship. Thank you skaters and golden Skate forum.

I haven't watch or seen the skaters but read the scores and read how happy the golden skaters are. U sound happy thrilled and excited by how the skaters skated.

Great job all.
Here to u 🎊🌹❤️

So... while I hate life math is math, Hyungyeom is in 21st and I don't expect him to go up much higher, so in order to retain 2 spots my darling has to go up at least 2 spots. Which is not going to be easy. Why didn't you all shoot me earlier I did not want this agony
Doesn't everyone who makes the free get 16 points at most?

I think Roman actually is a very good "skater" - skating skills but his poor performances hurt his reputation. I actually think he has better skills than Ilia but who am I.
Yeah, but it's also because Roman skated early (in part because he hasn't had good results recently). If he'd skated that way later in the draw, his scores would arguably been higher. Indeed, the judges were over-generous to Kao Miura for his mistakes. But Kao is backed by a powerful federation, and the judges respect his track record. Still, Roman's aesthetic skills are superior to a lot of his contemporaries. He just needs to believe in himself and prove to the judges they can trust him to deliver more consistently.

I only watched a couple of performances, 40 being too many for me to sit through when I prefer pairs and dance. I got to wondering what the ISU rule is if a judge or technical specialist were to take ill partway through such a long event and have to be removed. Do they have alternates who have been observing up to that point and can step in? Or is it like a jury trial in my province where they just continue with the trial with eleven jurors. (Or fewer. An RCMP relative of mine told me she was testifying at a trial where there was an accident to the jury's bus and four were hospitalized. She said trials below the most serious level like a murder trial, can continue with as few as six jurors.)

Quite a few surprises today. I thought Jun would have a better skate. This isn't his year. Maybe he needs to go back to Brian in Canada, if he can leave school? Kudos to Shoma, Ilia, and Kagiyama. Ilia cited injuries to Andrea Joyce after the program. Perhaps less shows for Ilia, it's wearing on him. He seemed to lack energy. Nice step sequence though. The 4A may have gotten him a slightly better score. Not sure what happened to Adam and Kao. As marvelous as Shoma is, my fave skate of the final group was Kagiyama's. It would be nice if IM can get silver but we'll see. Jason did very well.

Ilia has certainly grown! Go Raspberry!!
That explains the boot problems because feet can grow before the height kicks in. He growing taller again. Hopefully this be the final growth spurt, and thankfully most of it will happen in the off season this time unlike the last growth spurt he had last year which was took place during the entire competive season

His coaching situation is fine, it's his goddamn ankle. He isn't fully healed yet. He will do better when that effing ankle heals regardless of where he trains

What a great Men's SP. Sad for Adam and Boyang - you know someone is going to have an off day but these two are such champions and the disappointment must be great.

We know who the podium will be - just what order? Kagiyama is technically fantastic and has a lot of youthful enthusiasm in his skating. But, for me, the men's champion will be either Illia or Shoma. Who can land their jumps and perform at their highest level?

Okay then, I will search for other people that might end my misery for me...
My dear friend, consider his ankle situation. What he did in those circumstances is quite the achievement. Remove the fall and it was an awesome SP. Focus on your girls for now and let's see what he can bring in the LP. If you had seen his warm up, you'd be already dead...this was quite an improvement

Oh of course what my darling pulled off was a feat on its own, but I stupidly held the hope of somehow retaining 3 spots and letting go of it stings, a lot. At this rate I will not be surprised if he goes for the 3-quad layout for the free and my suffering will continue

If Adam SHF battles to place in the top ten overall, would that secure two spots in men next year for France?
He'd only have to reach 12 if Luc doesn't move up. For two spots, it has to be no more than 28. Since you get 16 points for making the free below 16th place, he just has to get to 12.

If Luc hadn't made the free, then Adam would have had to make the top ten for two.

There were some really good skates here. My favourite was Yuma. Fast, strong edges, strong and sure movements. Shoma would be next for me, and if Junhwan hadn't fallen, his program would have been third. Ilia was much better than last year, but his skating is still oatmeal to me. I wish I could enjoy him more, but maybe it will come in the future.

I enjoy Adam's skating and really wanted him to shine here.... hope he just forgets it and redeems himself in the free... and Boyang... :(
