I'm happy to have watched Midori live. Around here this competition is known because it's the competition that Midori skates at and she's still very much loved. Congratulations on another 1st place to her and again, big respect to other ladies having to compete with her, that has to be big guts required! 😅
Good night, I go to bed now!

I feel sorry for Katia WISNIEWSKA (LUX). Being a Bronze level skater coming on not just straight after the Master Elite skaters, but straight after a former World Champion and skating legend.

That said, if you ignore what happened before this competition, she did pretty well.

Oksana RYNDINA (UKR). When I saw her dress, I was predicting a Rolling Stones programme.

I was nearly right. It was actually "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera. (I admit that I forgot that she was involved in this song!)

Just to explain, Oksana was wearing a beautiful black dress, but with the Rolling Stones' lips logo on the front of it.

She skated well.

That's a bit bad taste. Playing "Bulletproof" by LaRoux when an Ukrainian skater is coming off the ice. Thankfully somebody realised and quickly took the song off. After a brief moment of silence, "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls came on instead.

You know, individually the pieces of clothing that Celestina FILBRANDT (DEU) is wearing are nice. But I don't think they go well together. Well, maybe the red and black things do go together. But the flowery skirt doesn't go with them.

I did enjoy the programme, though.

She goes into 4th position.

Ah, that is nice to see. Barely half an hour after she skated in the Masters Elite competition, Magdalena HUBER KREDL (CHE) is back to support younger team-mate Iris STÜSSI (CHE).

Right, now that we have reached the end of Group 1, I am afraid that is where I leave the competition for food. And I don't think I will be able to return, as I have other things to do tonight.

And that is handy. We have reached a resurfacing.

Hopefully the stream will be able to be played afterwards. They didn't stop the broadcast properly yesterday, which meant that I wasn't able to watch the group that I missed like I planned to before the action started this morning.

All the best to those that are still to skate.

To end the day, we have the second batch of Bronze II ladies. 15 ladies, arranged into a group of 7; followed by a group of 8.

Livestream for the second Bronze II Ladies FS is now on air.

Day 4 is a right mixture of categories. We have Singles skating, Pairs skating and Ice Dance all on the bill today. And this is the first time this week that the running order deviates from the Provisional Schedule PDF that I have been using. Rather than the Bronze V Ladies, we actually start with the Silver II ladies. 29 ladies, arranged into a group of 5; followed by four groups of 6.

Livestream for the Silver II Ladies FS is now on air.

I don't know why, but my computer has been on a major go-slow all morning. I shut it down for about half an hour while I had my breakfast, but it is still struggling. So, it mightn't be a smooth day of watching for me today.

Although Firefox (where I have GS and the Entries / Results page open) froze a few times during the first skater, thankfully Opera (where I have the stream) didn't. So I saw Katherine NOBLE (GBR). And I am glad I did. I really enjoyed that programme!

Correction, I now know why the computer is on a go-slow. I just thought of checking Windows Update, and it turns out that it is downloading updates at the moment in the background.

Oh, how I wish we could go back to the days where Windows informed you that there were updates available and asked you if you wanted to download them now or later, rather than just going ahead and doing it without telling you.

I spoke too soon. The coughing and spluttering started affecting Opera during the third and fourth skaters.

It was particularly bad during the fourth skater, Aurore LATOURNERIE (FRA), which is annoying because I love "Pirates of The Caribbean" programmes, and I was enjoying what I could see of her's.

She goes into 4th position.

Awwww, that's lovely. Makiko UCHIKAWA (JPN) had a lot of team-mates accompanying her for getting her scores. And there was Midori Ito sitting on the floor in front of her, laughing and chatting away to them.

Even with all her success, she is still so down to Earth. Literally, in this case.

Makiko goes into 5th position.

The computer has been coughing and spluttering quite a bit lately.

After freezing for a few minutes, it came back when the announcer was telling us that a skater had withdrawn. Then it went again, and came back to another skater, Sona KONTAROVA (CZE), at the boards talking to the panel while music was playing away. I've no idea what was going on. But, eventually she was introduced again and started skating. Then the computer went again in the middle of her programme. It came back pretty quickly. But then it went again for a minute or two towards the end of the next skater's programme, coming back just after she got her scores.

I can't put up with this much longer. I hope the resurfacing comes soon, because when it does I'm going to re-start the computer so that it can install the updates, and I'm going to start watching on the laptop.

The last skater in Group 3 has just finished skating, so fingers crossed that it is now!

CaroLiza_fan

Oh no.

Kirsty COX (NZL) was having a fun time out there, but then things went pear shaped and for the last part of her programme she had her head in her hands crying her eyes out.

The audience were giving her a lot of encouragement.

When she reached the boards afterwards, the camera wisely switched to a random overhead shot of the results area (which was actually very interesting to see!), before going to the highlights.

She was still crying her eyes out when we came back from the highlights, but she was getting a lot of comfort.

She went into 21st position.

:ghug:

Resurfacing!!! Time to install updates!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Although, the computer was actually behaving during that Group 3.

See you again soon from the laptop.

I have taken a real liking to Daniela VALLONI (ITA). She doesn't go down the conventional route.

Althought this wasn't as out there as her Artistic FS earlier in the week, it was still different.

Not sure what the song was, but I have a feeling it might have been by Paramore.

She goes into 15th position.

CaroLiza_fan

Thankfully, Patrizia UCCI (DEU) was just skating to "Cry Me A River". She wasn't literally crying.

And she had no reason to. She was really good!

She goes into 2nd position.

CaroLiza_fan

Mmmmm. I know I said yesterday that I was glad that more people are skating to "Music" by John Miles. Well, I did not like this string instrumental version that Gayle SMITH (GBR) was skating to.

That said, I did like the dress and the skating.

She goes into 25th position.

CaroLiza_fan

"Will You Still Love Me When I'm No Longer Young And Beautiful"...

Well, Lenka SEMBEROVA (CZE) is "Young And Beautiful", so she doesn't have to worry about that just yet. ;)

Lana del Rey's singing is so haunting. And Lenka interpreted it really well.

That was really good.

She goes into 10th position.
