A new photo shared from Kateigaho magazine. I really love this shot, probably one of the best editorial shot Shoma has ever done, one of the most poignant. The quality of the photo makes it so that you can see his expression, the gaze he sets upon his skates... the tiredness, the wistfulness, the melancholy and a little bit of fondness, I suppose.

I'm so glad he posted that! The official statement that was released to the media by JOC only stated a schedule conflict, and the articles written by media outlets about the conflicting ice show are under paywall. So by posting in his own words, Shoma explained in detail the circumstances that made him not able to attend the ceremony very clearly
