Rhythmic Gymnastics

If only there hadn't been the drop in the first routine, because I would have loved to have Polly in the final

French public coverage just changed sport, they literally just showed our French gymnast roations from this morning, and half the third rotation then went back to women's waterpolo. The live chat is mad as I am.

Only just started watching this a little while ago. Not a fan of that cover of Bad Romance...😖

Also, there's a possibly British announcer on Peacock who pronounced "debut" as "dayboo," which I find incredibly annoying...

Literally no English-speaking announcer pronounces debut properly, i.e. with the French pronunciation. I have given up on it.

Marga's split with help pivot is still one of the best things I've seen, it's so clean.
A bit squirrely in some catches, but no drops, so that's a win for me.

Evita I wish you could've had a better end to your 2nd Olympics but I hope you enjoyed your time on the carpet here

If Stili doesn't make it, it would be almost the equivalent of Simone Biles not qualifying for the AA final. Unfortunately, most of the gymnasts just ahead of her are doing the clubs and she's doing the ribbon, which usually scores lower anyway.

Takhmina and Daria are unfortunately gymnasts with a history of inconsistency, and today it seems like it was not meant to be for them.

After Arina Averina's Firebird debacle, I don't see why anyone is tempting fate by choosing this music for their ribbon routine.

Or maybe it was just an Arina curse 🤔

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, debut is pronounced "day-BYOO" in US English (which I am familiar with) and "DAY-byoo" in British English. Not quite the "day-BOO" I heard on the stream, I wonder if that is closer to or farther from the original French word...
