Not a lot is known about why VCD happens, and treatment is not that easy, there aren't many medications and learning vocal cord relaxation techniques is the primary treatment.

Everything was synthetic in the 70s. Probably including me.

They're fresh out of Novices - Such a successful team in AN last season.
Might have to adopt them too.

During the Olympics the official website had the athletes record their names and uploaded the recording on their profile page, ISU seriously needs to do that. I get not being able to pronounce certain phonemes that do not exist in your native language but c, here the 'ts' sound, is pronounceable and the error is basically due to lack of research/resources. I'm not asking all commentators to be Olly Hogben but seriously (deep sigh)

I just googled it. It seems very very hard to train with it . It really is amazing she is able to skate at this level.

On a side note, VCD seems to affect high performance female athletes the most. Such a strange and unfortunate condition.

Hello All!
I've catching up on replay as I did not feel well yesterday and so far love JPN so musical, fun and quite good. I see CAN & USA being a contest for awhile. Not really grabbed by either program. Layla & Alex are very talented, but just a tad behind Kat & Dima even after her injury. Mistakes by him tanked their scores, but speed and execution are amazing. Her face projects small and like others - I wanted fringe for car wash. Maybe she can add to or change the skirt? Sofiia & Max (BEL) and Alisa & Max (FRA) are also talented and exciting and learning quickly.

Natalie & Filip B struggled, but I think I think the RD will help them with develop better quickness and agility with having to stick to a rhythm and pattern. Once they master that they will climb again with their great presentation. Love the Donna Summer and purple unitard for Lauren & Jacob. A young team in development. Mini CZE group. Love the bright pink for Donna Summer for Eliska & Filip also have great power and had better control today than their teammates. This dance will also help them develop confidence in doing the quick footwork. More purple for the Straubs, who for some reason I keep forgetting, much sharper execution and much rewarded. Loving the vivaciousness of Aneta & Ivan they seem quite sharp and I look for good things from these two with time and development.
