Yuma is a brilliant skater, and clearly works very hard, but—I don’t think this program is a natural fit for him, either. It felt a bit frantic

disagree here.. he does well with the Flamenco... not sure Selevko would give him tips... tango isn't the same thing at all.

Yuma is not yet ready to compete i see. i hope he's not injured. liked the program for him

He took some time off in July for pain (not injury afaik) but says he's recovered. This is a big BV increase for him - it's now comparable to his 2022 Olympic layout, which is a big ask. Considering this is his first comp and he has a long ways until the GP, this was just fine.

Ilia’s ability to land such difficult elements exactly to the music is quite impressive. I think his style is different and unique. With his blonde hair, almost reckless abandon and flair for drama he looks like the evil son of Charlie White

ok well... i will not make many friends but i really didn't like Ilia's LP. sorry not sorry. even the jumps weren't that fluid today though I will give him a pass on this because it's early in the season

in the original song he gets burned at the stake, -5 goes what can i say, we all know Ilia can jump, he proved it already, everything else is meh, maybe the program will improve with time (15 yo me likes the song)

The most amazing thing that he always backs up his middle finger with capability. The best of teenage engines and mature prowess. I dunno to how even describe it.

He has a good vehicle with this program and his tricks are placed right to the music, but I found his performance to be flashy yet not fully with substance. As in, he knows what he's supposed to do and he does them to the best of his abilities but he's not actually feeling it. He has improved, that is clear, but he is yet to move Ichat the Grouch. We'll see if he does later on.
