Next week is going to be a heartbreaker. One gold, three silvers, and a bronze are going up against each other. The gold and silvers can all score 220+ The order of the podium is really going to matter. The only skater that can win a bronze and guarantee qualification is Li. The others will want at least a silver. The 24s are unlikely to make it, which is crazy.

If two silvers go 1-2 in any order and Li gets bronze, the entire podium will qualify!

I really like Arlet a lot but his jump landings are not under his control and when he ages out of juniors he won't be able to keep up no matter how innovative his programs are. Honestly I think his mother is this side of strange. I hope he leaves her for another coach when he turns senior but I my guess is he won't because they seem very "bonded." Like ceramic and apoxy. Oy!!

I have "stanned" Jacob for four years, since he was a sassy barely teenager skating to Footloose. For all the reasons that Rohene Ward said Jacob is the skater who reminded Ro most of himself as a young skater.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would put it together for *two* golds in the JGP.

I had a crazy busy day yesterday, so caught up in the evening and yay! Despite no clean skates, I am super happy for 3 way podium, for Hagara still having a chance at qualifying (and Lucas...woot!). Also, huge props for Genrikh who seemed to have rebuild the program when it started to fall apart after those colossal 4Lz landings. And, it's too bad the guys in the audience with the German flag didn't stay for the medal ceremony to help out the unexpected German

This is so cool!! I really was touched by Jacob's winner interview and how he's passionate about leading diversity in figure skating, just as Rohene has. I would love to see Jacob skate to a program choreographed by Rohene, especially as Jacob matures into seniors. He has the skills and charisma to showcase such choreography.

Cactus is a skater who is always in the cusp of fully blossoming. Some of their flowers are frigging amazing. But be cautious of the thorns, because their triumphs are never reliable or definitive. So, you will spend their entire career chewing needles.
