I loved the blue dress.
I just caught up to the free skates, and I was clenching my fists to not peek into the results because it was so intense. The junior women delivered amazing top 5-6 programs, though Petrova is unmistakingly the diva. I love Lyashenko very much so was sad she missed the podium.
I was actually pleasantly surprised with liking top 4 dances--solid performances, interesting music, and honestly I am happy to see that Gorshenina/Makarov will have competition to contend with, but, boy they are wo derfulmexcept continuing troubles on twizzles.
Def, the most anticipated competition for me is in junior men, and omg, am I looking forward to Fedorov, Lazarev, Kolesnikov, Vornov match-ups. Just hoping Voronov won't get psyched out by Kolesnikov returning to the competitive shape. Semkov must have felt odd with the younger junior men skating next to him. Heartbreak was Puzin for me, and I hope that Smironova's group figure out how to create supports during the inevitable low periods for junior skaters.
Overall, it's great to see an increasing emphasis in juniors on skating skill, elegance and interesting program compositions. I am worried about the crazy technical content for Lazarev; it's neither necessary, nor sane.
