There are only a handful who I think are up to the challenges of the waltzes, and I think that is a lot of the reason why the ISU has not chosen that pattern in ages.
Of course, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy—if no one practices things like dancing in holds, and it’s all about big “crowd-pleasing,” “meme-worthy” stuff, then teams won’t have to incentive to learn the other stuff
