Sofia Tyutyunina/Matvei Grachev teamed up about a year ago. She was a top ice dancer without a partner and he was a man from a smaller city. Their skates tend to be up and down. They need much more time. But they managed to skate well at last nationals where they became 7th.

Thought I recognised her from previous seasons.

Elizaveta Pasechnik and Dario Cirisano teamed a year ago (just like Sofia and Matvei). They were supposed to make a debut last season but couldn't due to Liza's health problems (rumoured to be a hip injury).

They have very original and unique dances this season. I'm surprised they have good lifts. Unfortunately there's still a gap in abilities. I hope she recovers after her injury and adapts. They are very promising and the the crowd loves them.

Milana Kuzmina and Dmitri Studenikin have moved to seniors this season. They were 4th at Junior Nationals. They had to miss test skates due to pneumonia. This is their first event this season.

I remember their fun Madonna program last year... this one was great too! They have loads of personality and don't seem juniorish.

Very sharp and crisp, liked it a lot. They seem disappointed, but this is a deep field for a GP.

I caught only the last part of ice dance. Too bad about the mistakes from Liza / Dario, hope that doesn't disappoint them too much. Dario is a very nice performer and skater

Watching her and Vania's interview now; Vania changed his haircut, didn't he? The new one kind of suits his personality I would say, similar levels of nice craziness He is as usual all smiles and laughing, wish I could understand what he is talking about cause he looks like quite passionate and engaging about it

All stages will have a deep field. What's more, someone like Prokopets/Vaskovich won't make it to nationals.

I wonder if these mistakes were so bad that 1TV has not uploaded their skate even though they did put up Step/Bukin already, haha.

Dario is the only skater to get level 4 on the steps.

For this and next weekend I’m gonna miss a lot of FS again due to being abroad, keeping up with it thanks to your comments. I’ll catch up on performances whenever I can. I’m very happy about Savosin, hoping Zhenya has a better run today
