2024 Skate Canada Men's Free Skate

However, at this point, he's taking up spots in competitions that could be going to other American men who are ready to make a name for themselves, and can't because Jason is going, based on his reputation.

As long as Jason puts up the numbers at US championships and Worlds, he deserves to compete. Any US men he is "depriving" of a spot can da*n well earn a spot by putting up the numbers and doing it consistently. They have not, so far.

Well, I fully expect this forum to be full of Cha should have won this or whatever, so I am not gonna read any back posts, but bravo Ilia for doing it his way, lovely program and gorgeous everything. GPF it is!

Also glad for Cha, though I missed his LzLo combo. Sucks for Gogolev and Sato, but silver for Sato is great result.

Also, yes, yes, Brown finally getting scores he deserves!

Good for Ilia. The program is smoke and mirrors but it's smart in that they use strong music to carry him and then he picks it up at the end. I didn't see him engaged in the program until the step sequence. There were some nice transitions in there but mostly just jumps until the last 1/4 of the program.

It is a bit boring - I do not mean his skating, it has improved very much since last season but I wish excitement more. He could have popped almost everything after the first half and still win.
