I so badly want to love this program. It's great music, done by a great choreographer, and event the dress suggests that this could be one of those iconic programs that defines a skater. There are some really strong moments, like within the choreo sequence, but for most of the program, she is very focused on the jumps and only really comes alive in the steps. I wonder if perhaps trying a more "safe" program next season to improve her components and then revisiting this one when she feels more comfortable as a performer would be a good idea, because I think the program has a lot of potential that has not yet been delivered. Also, what is up with all of these spin mistakes?

I'm sorry but most of the Women's music so far has been so sleepy - and unfortunately I think it tends to be less forgiving when skaters are struggling. Even Jason Brown was talking about how his "Spiegel im Spiegel" program this year really needs clean skating for it to have an impact.

I think that's why I enjoyed Lea Serna's skate the most so far. I do think she sold her skate pretty well.

Crisis averted, my backup drive was threatening to fail with ALL my saved videos from this year.
Reboot fixed it and I am now backing up everything instead of typing. Lovely women, lovely programs, sad that their skates did not go as planned.
