2024 Grand Prix de France Women's Short Program

This is my favourite program of Chaeyeon's so far, I think it does a great job disguising her weaknesses. Her jumps and skating skills are fantastic, even though I do want her to have a slightly higher free leg and point those toes a bit more on the combo (the flip and 2A were great). Her spins also looked really good today - I love her donut position and biellmann. There's a freedom to her movement that works well with this music, and I was glad to see her start to facially engage during the steps. I just want her to perform more, but she's made a lot of progress and is still so young that she's got loads of time to figure it out.
She doesn't jumps higher because she is too lazy for such things 😅 Give her break!!!

What a wonderful program and performance by Kim! I have no qualms with the results, but I wouldn't mind her getting a few extra points for packaging that really suits her style of performance. She's on track to becoming one of my favorite women since Akiko Suzuki.

Oh, Amber, my heart! I was in tears of joy after her skate. How wonderful to see her finally live up to the potential this season she has been capable of for many years! That’s a world champion short program score! Oh, how I hope she is able to maintain this positive momentum for the rest of this season and into the Olympic season too! It’s very clear she has worked so hard to try and conquer her demons and the 3Axels she hit in practice and in the SP here are the best she has ever performed them. Way to go, Amber! You and your supporters who have stood by you absolutely deserve this joy! :love2::hap10::rock:

She did a 3F/3T

Watched with my mom, so couldn't respond live.
Rion is a great skater, I wish she had a more dramatic program tho, I found the music too sleepy for her.
Livia has such high toe jumps, don't like the program tho.
Mai was beautiful, I didn't expect her to be relevant this year but that triple triple demands some respect! Stunning dress.
Amber - wow. The consistency of her triple axel is unreal. The program is the same style she's been doing for a while, but I find this to be the weakest iteration of it, just kinda lacks her usual fire and drama.
Nina's SP does nothing for her.
I never know how to feel about Gubanova. She seems to want it really bad, so I feel sorry that things never seem to go her way.
Chaeyoung is a machine. No nerves, no effort, just gets the job done. Despite some of the obvious weaknesses in her emotion and lines, her programs are much more complex than most so I think she always deserves substantial PCS in addition to the great technical scores. Great job here. Loved her leggings.
Loved the event!! The free skate will be exciting, as it has been with all the ladies GPs so far <3

Chaeyoung is such an enigma to me.
She has everything I dislike in a skater - no facial expression, no turn out to speak of, colored tights...
And yet on her, I love all of it. She's just so good, she has me completely on her side. No drama, just consistently nails it at the top level. Here to win 🏆

He's hurt his shoulder. :( That must have been in that hard fall on the sal.

Edit: Sorry, should have been in men's...
