I love this program (although a lot of that is because I love this music). It's so smartly constructed with the spin after the quad to give her time to recover mentally, and it shows off both her power and grace. I love the work Rion does with Shae, and there's just such quality throughout this program. She did so well to move the flip combo after the first mistake, and overall this was so strong from her. She just seems more confident throughout from last season.

But yet again...

"The joy of plants receiving the blessed rain" Jesus Christ this event sounds like a stoner's philosophy class.

Since I'm green and hairy already I'll say that she has never been on my favorite list, she has quality (aside from going for the quad toe when she has cleanly landed it once? in competition) but I just don't vibe with her. Hojung (SBS commentator) appreciates her though

Very lively skate for Rion. Love her speed and deep, secure footwork. A couple of wonky jumps.
Her projection is a bit livelier than Hana, but I can see a rivalry.

Rion really tried to learn from Yuna Aoki about directing her eyes . It does make her look more engaged in the performance. Great SS. Mostly great jumps. I don't dislike the program, but her skating still needs more personality. Better than before though...

So Rion is skating The Private Life of Plants? Interesting concept, I admit I didn't really see the plants in the choreography. The 4T didn't go as planned, but, hey, the only way to get credit for a quad is to attempt it in competition. Loved her step sequence, particularly the spin/turn she did, with her arms raised; it reminded me of learning a similar spin in ballet as a kid.
