Shame, popped the 4toe to a double. He’s trying to attempt as much technical difficulty as possible to climb out of his SP hole. How did he land that 2nd 4toe? He is skating a valiant performance and showing the fight of a world bronze medalist. He really needs to learn how to conquer his SP demons though! I want someone in the world to be able to challenge Malinin.

I'm so glad to see Adam and Benoit have actually watched Dune, because I recognize a lot of the choreography from the film and its associated music. That scene where he dies on the ice is actually from the movie - the main character also dies and is then reborn - and they use my favourite piece of music from the whole movie at the start of the second half. I'm not sold on the music editing after the step sequence (why is there that random violin piece), but apart from that you can already see how effective the program is, and that's with a bit of a messy skate. He's only 13 or so points off the title - he'll need others to make mistakes, but it's not impossible if everyone splats.

It wasn't perfect but great to see Adam skating well. I think the movements were a little sloppy at times, but I love that he knows himself and has a definitive point of view. Awesome speed and commitment.

The jumps all being on big musical accents is a big gamble, today it paid off mostly. I'm still not into the program though
