2024 CS PGE Warsaw Cup Women's FS

Bit of a tough skate for Olesja. :(

poor girl, a disaster

A good example of British understatement, against Italian telling-it-like-it-is.

Diana talked about the age change, and questioned whether Olesja LEONOVA (EST) was ready for Seniors. And it reminded me of another 18 year old Estonian that was competing in Juniors at the Tallinn Trophy the other week.

Marianne MUST had disaster skates in both segments, and was actually in floods of tears after the FS. I remember how promising she was when she first appeared on the scene. But she has gone backwards since then. To the extent that I think she will be eaten alive when she has to go up to Seniors.

It does make you wonder.

not a single green square. i think it's time for Antonina to put her competitive days behind her :(

This is the second time this afternoon that I have watched a programme to music that always makes me think of Anna Pogo and go all dreamy! ("Por Una Cabeza" was the other).

But, Antonina DUBININA (SRB) [who, like Anna, is from Moscow, but is actually older than Anna] only used "Rise Like A Phoenix" for the middle part of her programme.

Dubinina is another skater who hasn't really progressed for a long time.

I looked it up at an earlier event this season, and she is actually scoring exactly the same now as she did a decade ago when she first went into Seniors.

And because of what I just pointed out, you could be right. But, if she is still enjoying it, and there is nobody to send instead, then why not carry on?

is she enjoying though? she looks incredibly tired and disappointed

I have to say, I do like Aleksandra's Lithuanian team jacket, with the belt in the colours of the Lithuanian flag.

Ooooh. Lovely jump from Aleksandra when the camera started focussing on her. And then she went down to the other end of the rink and did another lovely jump!

And, that was as much as we saw of her.

Looking forward to seeing her programme.

I really like Nargiz Sueleymanova. She has good movement, and the cricket club should sort out the technical side of things to allow her to progress.

The two skaters from Germany that are now representing other countries going back-to-back at the start of this group!

Nargiz SUELEYMANOVA (AZE) wearing a beautiful black dress.

"Please Don't Make Me Love You". :rolleye:

Unfortunately, she had some really dodgy landings.

But, it is still good to see her back on the international circuit.

She goes into the lead of both the FS and overall.

:cheer: WELL DONE NARGIZ!!! :cheer:

Julia now.
