It's surprising (or maybe not) the number of pairs men who go into firefighting after they retire from skating. It's partly the strength and upper body development they already have. But it's also the protective instinct and the ability to stay cool in a dangerous emergency, innate and then polished during their years in pairs.

I love that final spin. They just did their first international competition this year and got their USA jackets. Mark showed a message from someone saying he'd never get a USA jacket. Way to prove them wrong.

Well, David Drezdoff did in the 1990s, but he's the one I knew best. There have been others I can't think of at the moment. (Getting dressed to go to a Burn's Night Supper, so in a rush.

Yeah. It was nice at Canadian Nats that they had a pairs skater for both the English and French streams. I went with the French one - Charlie is a good commentator.

Charlie rocks commentating. I love what Meagan and KMT have to say but i cannot stand their voices over a whole competition
