2025 Russian Junior Nationals

Can Nastya's sister maybe put them into contact with the Aussie fed? These two have so much potential (lines for days) but not necessarily the consistency to be competitive within Russia.
I think they'll go Senior next season, they have the maturity for it.

Another team that has a lot of good qualities but not necessarily enough to be competitive in Russia. Maya is trying very hard on the triple jumps, but they don't come naturally to her. Shegai is a West/Central Asian name (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan), so maybe that would be an option for them if they wanted to switch?

Still, that must have been their best skate so far as a team. I'm guessing they'll also go Senior next season.

It's pretty interesting (and honestly a good sign to me) that two of the youngest teams are in this last group, and the other two teams could go Senior next season if they chose to.

Well, Cousins/Bregey put up a mighty fight until the last lift had to come down. Unfortunately, that will probably cost them the medal, with 5-6 points down the drain.
Sofia is devastated, especially because this was otherwise a very good skate. 💔

Meanwhile, Chernyshova/Vilchik have announced moving up to seniors.
They are simply being outjumped in Juniors and quality-wise they are definitely ready for Seniors. Their lifts are strong and stamina seems to be good now too, which are the two main factors I look at for Junior-Senior transitions, due to the additional lift in the Free.

Even in Seniors, they'll have to work hard to pick up some consistency if others also move up/return from injury.

Well, it was a bit messy. They'll drop behind Polina and Egor, but are probably going to stay on the podium due to Sofia and Sasha's aborted lift.
They'll have plenty of chances in Juniors in the years to come, Zoya is so young.

Well, some slight errors on the throws, but they'll hang on to the silver. Another team that visually looks ready for Seniors. Taisiya has made so much progress since switching to pairs.

You'd think they just found out they dropped off the podium and not that they just won a silver medal... Once again, the silver medalists are the unhappiest of the medalists.
