Belinda Noonan and some bloke who I haven't heard before are on commentary.

I suspect he is a non-specialist commentator.

Now that is a good idea. They put a key up explaining the colour coding in the TES box.

Mind you, they did it before the Warm-Up even started, so viewers who do not normally watch figure skating will probably not remember what everything means by the time the TES boxes appear! :p

Darn, I missed it. Happy that it looks like they have a decent sized crowd. :)

Mmmm. The stream started buffering on me during REN Junfei / XING Jianing (CHN). But it picked up where it left off.

Have to be honest, I didn't like Junfei's dress. But I loved the music. You can't beat a bit of Earth, Wind And Fire!

Jianing is actually a hometown boy at this event. So, as you would expect, there were a lot of cheers when they were introduced.

They were good. They'll go behind the Japanese, but they should be in the mix.

Respectful clapping for the scores.

And I'm buffering again.

Wow, I tuned in just right at the beginning of the Indonesian team's dance - this is my first time ever seeing a dance team from my origin country, well done!!! :jumping::nana:

Growing up I only knew 2 ice rinks in the entire country, 1 in each of the 2 biggest cities... I know there are more now, but still it's an amazing achievement to be able develop an ice dance team like this! They must be so happy to get the opportunity performing here at AWG

I enjoyed Tasya PUTRI / Dwiki Eka RAMADHAN (INA) the first time I saw them, and I enjoyed them again today.

However, much as I love "Grease", I do not love these covers.

Belinda is very impressed with them. And I don't blame her. They are so new to Ice Dance, but they are so good already.

In the years to come, as they get more experience, they are really going to put Indonesia on the figure skating map.

They go into 3rd position.

Ah. I didn't know that Gaukhar NAURYZOVA / Boisangur DATIEV (KAZ) were another of Sara, Kirill and Ksenia's partnerships.

From small beginnings, they really are building up a big stable. Who would have imagined 15 years ago that Madrid would become a centre for Ice Dance?!

Btw is it just me or do the commentators voice all come out from the right side of the sound channels? Very annoying with a headphones on 😅

I've got it going through to the TV, so I don't know. But I did notice that they are often getting drowned out by the music.

Another reason why there shouldn't be talking during the programmes! ;)

I believe the Chinese team used the original version of Hit The Road Jack, wasn't it? Loved to hear it!

There's been so many versions that I'm not sure which is the original any more! But, at least they didn't go for the version that seems to be in fashion of late.

I enjoyed XIAO Zixi / HE Linghao (CHN)

They go into 3rd position.

It's so confusing the way that the livescoring page shows the countries, and you have to click to see the actual names.

You know, for a partnership that have been together for a long time (at least 8 years), Gaukhar NAURYZOVA / Boisangur DATIEV (KAZ) looked quite green.

Ah, Belinda says that they have only been training together in Madrid for 6 months. So, that probably explains a lot.

They go into 4th position.
