But for me, her improvement in performance, expression and musicality is the most amazing. She actually performs with her face now - that smile before the spiral, and the change of expression afterwards really fit the music

Really, how does she always struggle with the 4T the whole season and then deliver it at Jr Worlds? How does she just keep on doing it? Clearly, her only competition is herself.

Rules are the same for everyone. It's not like Shimada is somehow singled out.

Okay, time to reboot for next year and hope that the junior women would grow in confidence and deliver an even stronger challenge to the status quo. There were some very encouraging signs, so fingers crossed Shimada won't be winning as easily next season.
