2025 World Junior Championships Pairs FS

Places 3-6 most accurately represent JUNIOR placements. But placements one and two play the game for points and placements. I would like to see a rule that someone competing in seniors more than once not have the opportunity to remain in juniors.
Certainly not anyone who competes at GP. Maybe Euros/4CC as well.

Two "minor" Senior comps may be OK. Certainly one minor is OK.

I am OK with skaters testing the senior waters before committing to only skate senior.... but there should be a limited amount of events they can do as a senior, and if they reach that limit, they have to remain seniors...

I mean... Two of these teams are doing all 3 ISU championships.. That's crazy.

Eh, Vouillamoz/Bouvart are also a Senior pair more than a Junior pair. Zhang/Huang are Juniors, but under the old rules, he would have been too old.
With the 19/21 cut-off, it would have been Ariano Kent/Laliberte Laurent - Flores/Wang - Telemaque/Coulon, which is interesting.

Yes, by one time I mean for a season. If you compete senior for a season you should be locked in, even if you compete both seniors/juniors.

Wow no handshakes or hugs to anybody from first place. Cold. I suppose I understand - save the awkwardness for everyone.

Telemaque/Coulon got 0 points for their death spiral. Pity. Could have been 1-2 places higher if it weren't for that.

it's unfortunate but it is not surprising at this level that death spirals cause a lot more problems than some other moves... it's super tough for the younger teams.

So, spots for next season.

Jr Worlds:
3 spots: GEO, UKR, CAN
2 spots: SUI, CHN, USA, FRA, ITA

And JGP:
3 entries in 4 events: GEO, UKR, CAN, SUI
2 entries in 4 events: CHN, USA, FRA, JPN, ITA, SVK, ESP
1 entry in 4 events: CZE, GBR, HUN
do Georgia and Ukraine have other junior pairs ?

Lots of spots may be unused in both the JWC and JGP

Well, seem slike they learned from Sierova/Khobta's refusal to be hugged. By the way, this is the second podium with M/B in first, AK/LL in third and an Ukrainian team in second - And both happened in Hungary!

Ukraine had a young team last season at Nats but they didn't compete internationally this season (and Nationals haven't happened yet), so no idea about that. Ivan Khobta is apparently training with Alexandra Fakhroutdinov (USA) in Colorado Springs, but I have no idea how old she is. She was skating in Seniors domestically in 2021/22 & in Novices in 2018/19, so possibly older? But you never know with the US.

Georgia doesn't have any other pairs as far as I know, so if any teams from Russia want to switch to a different country, get your applications in now.

Wow fell asleep watching ladies and just came to check in on pairs. Wow what a chaotic event. I guess that is to be expected from developing pairs where skaters bodies are growing and changing. Congratulations to the podium and good health to the remainder of the teams for the future. Pairs are truly the warriors of skating.

I'm really sorry about Luke and Olivia. They did so well (surprisingly?) last year but this year they stuggled so in every which way. Their FS was a prime example of this. Issues on too many elements. And two "falls" aggregate for both programs for Luke who is so steady. She practicaly slammed into his body when she came down from the 2twist. Oy. Well they'll have another year on this jr level to examine what went wrong and how to avoid it. I'm hoping for the best for them anon.
