2025 World Championships Women's Free Skate

Well I am happy for her - sad for my predictions...I really thought Kaori had it
Sad too for my prediction but happy for her , just had faith in her and was right .. so big surprise.. I thought would keep the crown Amber or Kaori but even I'm amazed by such surprise

You know, I’m sitting here just reminiscing how the USFSA basically dumped Alysa Liu at the Nationals going into the last Olympics and she was picked over for the team event in favor of Karen Chen, who didn’t skate well in either portion, thus missing out on a team Olympic medal. However, Alysa got her revenge by winning a bronze medal at that year’s World Championships and now this result. The greatest revenge is success.

I am still in shock. What a great night of skating and so many wonderful skates. I admired Alysa when she stepped away, and was pleasantly surprised when she returned and have been rooting for her since. May she hold onto this joy well into next year

I usually don't watch women, but for some reason I wanted to see Alysa.

Oh my God, that was magical. Just magical. Her skating, the crowd, just magical.

A young woman who came back to skating for the joy and the fun and for her own love of skating, and it showed in every stroke of the blade. That is why I watch skating.

:clap::clap::clap:

I know people will complain about the scores, but Alysa had two skates that I will remember for the rest of my life. She skated the programs of her life at home - what an incredible moment.
100!

Honestly, it's about the feeling that watching an incredible performance gives you. Eff looking at where the blade hits the ice with a microscope. I hate that. Just watch the skater, feel the feelings. If the underrotation is significant, it will be visible and affect how they land. We want to see amazing performances, not analyze the underrotations to death and zoom in on the screen.

Well deserved win, Alysa Liu!!!
