I only just realised F/G came 6th in the free dance and won a world medal, incredible

KOR CHN and ITA put Piper and Paul in first. THANK YOU

UKR didn't like Piper and Paul and even put them in 6th for TES.

S/D was put all over the place including 9th place from the US judge

G/F was also put in 6th place from US judge but in 9th place from the Korean judge

No surprise with the USA judge putting CPOM in 3rd

Fear Gibson in 2nd from Ukr and Aze... and in 9th from CHN ( I am starting to like the Chinese judge)


LALA : crazy stuff... from 4th from the USA judge, to 12 from Ukr and Svk

Clearly, the Ukrainian judge doesn't like the Canadian teams but put Davis and Smolkin as high as 5

Korean judge really likedYuka and Juho and put them in 7th

Miraculous 118 points for LaLa come from judges from Estonia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. Jussayin.

Interestingly, none of these countries had a team in this FD event. But the judges were there.

The power of IAM politicking. I was absolutely stunned when F/G topped G/F with that error filled dance. I guarantee that result with that skate would never happen for any team not under the IAM political umbrella. I really feel sad for Charlene and Marco and I’m not even their biggest fan, but that fixing of the results was egregiously wrong.

Thank heavens Madi and Evan won a World title without a major error for once. As a result, I actually have no problem with these standings. All I ever wanted from them was for them to win with two clean dances. Finally, it happened!

They won't have a chance of a team medal if G/F are not there. I don't want to contemplate them not going

i am sure they will go... it's a way for Babs to tell the judges to stop messing up with her team otherwise Milano will be hell for everyone

How would IAM, sacrifice LaLa which they have been raising as babies to junior world champions, to Canada's number two team at 2024 world, to GPF and to being so close from a podium finish after the RD to .....7th overall... ?

I am so happy with this podium- first that C/B had great worlds free unlike last two, that Piper and Paul were terrific and so happy for Lilah and Lewis; just held my breath for them more than anyone. The robot dance just hasn't worked for me, and it doesn't connect to the crowd so hard to appreciate their technical prowess. Lilah and Lewis skated with joy and entertained us and seeing how happy they were when those scores came in was just the best

For the sake of the South Korean judge, bette for her not to cross paths with Charlene Guignard in the hotel

The Ukrainian judge had for technical: La/La in 12th, Evgenia/Geoffrey in 10th , Olivia/Tim in 8th, Charlene and Marco in 6th, Diana/Gleb in 5th…..

This remark reminds me of Isabel Delobel getting injured, then pregnant during recovery and making a super Olympian effort to make it back to qualify for the Olympics and place a remarkable 6th place.

Since you have put it out there I will release the thought bubble in my brain that I have kept quiet about for some time now that at least one of our veteran teams will not make it to Milan and will instead fulfill another life dream and have their first child. Could be anyone...

Ugh, imagine having to bring this defeat into the season when the Olympics is in your home country? Fun.

They are a great team - I just think this season's been a bit off for them (and their free doesn't suit them at all). I think they'll have a resurgence in time for Milano.

Marjorie and Zach were not their usual selves here. I don’t know what happened to them here, but they were not as clean and crisp in the RD nor the FD as they can be. I was saying oh no during their twizzles in both programs and I was worried for them here, which is not usually what happens when I watch them; they were just off here. I really wanted them to finish higher than they did and I enjoy them and L/B more than C/P. Like L/L in Montreal last year, C/P delivered the best skates of their career so far at a home ice World Championships and received 5th place as a result.

Absolutely, and the current 1 and 2 in France skated here like they were going to their career execution. I really feel sad and terrible for both teams. Heartbreaking!

Judges often play with the pecking order at worlds, before Olympics... this is a clear message that LaLa will not be in the final flight for the Olympics... it's also a clear message that CPOM are being promoted as USA number one ahead of next worlds... as I doubt that both the USA and ITA teams will participate at worlds... Piper and Paul may do so.. in order to catch the title... but in any case, CPOM would be on the podium with a couple teams retiring... and not LaLa.

This is not a conspiracy theory... just an observation based on many years of seeing the shuffling of teams at worlds prior Olympics in dance

It seems I have observed similar patterns over the years.
The Soviet/Russians were masters at setting up their successors.
