Yes! Technical panel did their job. I’m loving how Nishino got his revenge in the best way. He went from getting his second JGP taken away to winning a JGP in grand style.

Taiga : of course it's the borealis forest for some of us... but in Japanese it means great river.

Here is my rant : to whomever thought enhancing Beethoven was a good idea, I find it offensive. To me, this is the utmost lack of respect shown to Beethoven. Beethoven doesn't need to be "more epic" he was the genius who composed music beloved by so many. Do not touch it. What kind of "arranger" (because I cannot call that person anything better, like composer) dares to put their dirty hands on masterpieces.

It's like bringing a kid to the museum and telling them to take crayons and draw over a Picasso. Like, seriously.

You can blame Misao-sensei for the arrangement
She's well known for doing things like that
She always needs to be "fancy" and "eclectic"

To be fair I haven't been following the Japanese junior boys much, but I thought there would be more hype or buzz around Taiga is his quads are this solid

The Japanese girls get a lot of love and attention but aside from Rio there seems to be little interest in the Japanese boys
I try to inform but my posts about the boys remain largely unread and unwatched

Thank you for your steadfast coverage of the Japanese boys though! And to be fair they are still men so menning are still prone to happen hence usually I try not to keep my hopes up especially they are still juniors

I am glad that they seem to be hitting their stride now after last season's JSF assignment policy issues.

I try to watch the Japanese boys as well, but I do find them harder to get invested in since they can be so inconsistent and with worse overall SS & performance quality compared to the girls. Didn't help that JSF kept taking JGP assignments away from them, giving them even less air time to be known in wider stages

And I might not react or reply, but rest assured I read most of your posts about the boys Thank you always for keeping us updated with the Japanese juniors & novices boys!!

Back to JGP Varese, I'm most impressed with UeShun His 3A is solid and so easy-looking. Love his interpretation to the music, probs it helps heaps that his free skate music is actually enjoyable unlike Taiga's

Most of you who follow the Japanese domestic events know I carry on about the Jr boys because they're my favorite to watch
I realize the girls at this age tend to be more skilled and consistent so usually more exciting and enjoyable to follow and easier to get invested in
Though I really appreciate the interaction and feedback, I don't post about the boys or any of the Japanese skaters because I expect or desire reactions or clicks
I do it because I truly enjoy watching them skate and want their performances and info about those performances to be accessible for others as well
