Afair The Russians nominated Stepanova & Bukin in dance, and they did not meet the criteria for AIN according to whatever group assessed that. The same was true for the team they proposed for pairs.

I'll be honest StepBukin's non-approval was the least surprising thing for apparently anyone except them, even a lot of Russians didn't seem surprised.
Mishina/Galliamov themselves seemed to take their rejection a lot more calmly, though the general fan base seemingly didn't - I assume they were rejected because they were at that one infamous Plushenko show (afaik), but in that case, Boikova/Kozlovskii wouldn't have been approved either.

Don't know any of the songs, so I don't know if Carolane's costume relates to any of the videos. But, I can't imagine how it could.

Although it wasn't my taste at all, they were good.

You know, I might have made a mistake in writing them off as past their best. And Ted has just said this is the best that he has ever seen them.

That close-up of them at the start of the highlights, Carolane looked so stereotypically Irish. Has she secretly got some Irish ancestry as well as the hubby?
