Why are Finnish girls always such beautiful skaters?! Off hand I can't think of any that aren't! (Well, the one I adopted did turn into a bit of a cactus. But she was still beautiful when she wasn't being prickly).

I'm not sure it will go to the OLY final. Might just be a comfortable, familiar pick for the qualification. I heard they had to take a break from training in the off-season as well.

The crowd loved it, and I suspect casual figure skating fans at the arena or at home will like it at the Olympics. Makes her a more sympathetic figure when she is a crowd favourite.

Yeah, Petra is totally Finnish. I think she was born in NZ and has citizenship by birth.

I don't even want to argue, so I'm just going to put it here that Kaori's 2A gets +4 to +4.5 in raw GOE, and you all can do with that what you want. Which some of you do regardless, so I really don't even need to say it.

Also, these scores don't count for official scores, as only JGP, GP, Challenger and Championships events do. This event falls under none of these categories (in contrast to CS Nebelhorn Trophy as the Olympic qualifier in the past). (It might not even count for WS points as it's not open to entries from all countries.)
