Missed out on Dasa Grm?I think that is the first time I've seen a name exclusively made of consonants.
Why should it be reserved for Ultra-Cs? A well-executed jump is a well-executed jump regardless of number of rotations and should be scored accordingly. The BV and resulting GOE multiplier already reward the higher-value jump more.Indeed. I was just under the impression +5s on jumps are generally reserved for ultra-c. If you consider some of the women's 3As we have seen. I think 2A by its essence shouldn't be hitting maximums. Anyways, I guess I don't fault the judges too much for favouring Kaori. I understand the high GOEs she is a legend internationally. Its standard sports practice. Ignoring calls gets frustrating no matter who it is though.
Oh my gosh, uncanny!![]()
Why did I just think of TAT...?

I mean if a perfect triple is executed with the exact same qualities and attributes as a perfect quad its theoretically fine to me but, I don't know if I see that happening. I'm searching past tournaments I'm familiar with and I'm not finding 5s or even 4s on non-ultra c for skaters I know have flawless execution. To continue this discussion I'd have to start comparing scores between skaters and I don't want to bring up certain names here, its contentious enough and perhaps not the place. Its not an issue I feel that strongly about anyways. Why should it be reserved for Ultra-Cs? A huge 2A is not undeserving of a +5 just because someone else (or even the skater themselves) can also jump a huge 3A. Daiwei Dai's 3T+3T, for example. is no less good than his 4T+3T (when he hits it).

she's giving me scifi princessWOW Julija's Lovrencic's (head)dress
.........and I actually like it![]()
Exactly. Kaori's 2 axel makes a bigger impression than some 3 axels. It's huge, it's crazy fast in and out. I've seen quite a lot triple axels from s junior girls recently but some of them are actually very small with not much air time. They can be done because the girls have very slim pre-puberty shillouettes and rotate fast but if somebody wouldn't write on paper that it is a triple axel I wouldn't even notice it's ultra-C element. Why should it be reserved for Ultra-Cs?
