It wasn't fair to send them here. Not for the other teams' sake, but for their sake. This is only Audrey's second season in pairs, her fourth ever international pairs competition and the pressure put on them was huge. Would another team have done better? Maybe, maybe not, ice is slippery after all. But to put that pressure on their shoulders was not right, especially not with the controversy around their treatment by USFS.

But yes, I have been baffled by the choice to send them and remain baffled. They're so new and it's a lot of pressure on a young team that frankly is still struggling in some places.

Not related to the skating, but I am so impressed that Mark pronounced Balasz Nagy's name correctly. I remember giving off on here one time when a commentator butchered his name. (Can't remember who it was).

Oh, that was much more like it than last week. Really well done, Sofiia and Artem Their throws are among the very best throws when they hit them, and they did today.

It was the best week of my life, no exaggeration. So much fun. No return visit though, new baby plus tight budget meant no skating this year. I really hope at least one of my daughters winds up liking it as much as I do and someday will go with me to a big competition like that.

And yes, having a blast! Well, inasmuch as I can be having a blast at 3:30 in the morning while caring for a sick baby and being on crutches.
