2025 Skate to Milano Pairs Free Skate

He was competing back in juniors with with Anna Duskova and it was forever ago, she is probably out of college by now. One really can't afford to mess up a lift and then a couple of throws. But they are a nice looking couple with Anna Valese.

Question, would you consider bringing a baby wearing headphones to a skating event?
Oh gosh no. I wouldn't be concerned for their hearing without headphones; I don't think skating gets that loud. Maybe at the really big events with the cheering, but otherwise no. But for me personally, we really have very little money to travel, and I wouldn't consider it worth the sacrifices to go if I had to wrangle a baby while trying to watch the skating. A newborn might be a different story. They're so portable!

I'll repeat, this dress reminds me of Young You's. Shame about the aborted lift, their lifts are usually their most consistent elements. I guess the pressure got to them here. Still, much better than what I expected after Czech test skates, and I think they'll be even better later on in the season. Anna is such a lovely person, she's adorable.

⛪

Lovely Triple Twist to start with

Not a great landing on Triple Salchow for Anna.

Or on the last part of the sequence of Axels.

Had to abort the Axel Lasso lift.

The Throw Triple Flip was good.

Dodgy landing with hand down from Anna on Throw Triple Salchow

Next few elements good.

Martin nearly lost his balance at the start of the Group 3 Lift. That would have been a disaster!

They both look so relieved when it was over.

Well, after such great results at the Merano Trophy and Lombardia Trophy, they came back down to Earth with a bump. But, we have to remember that this is a very new partnership.

Big group hug between them and Ondřej. They are all being philosphical about it.

They go into 3rd position in both FS and overall.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA AND MARTIN!!! :cheer:

I see... it's just that at the last tournament I was at (Worlds 2024), there were two women that had brought a baby there with headphones and I was curious to see your opinion on whether that sort of thing would be appropriate. I didn't think it would be appropriate, but the baby handled herself surprisingly well...

I'm fading really fast, please send kind thoughts to the Japanese team for me...
