Nice start, both in terms of music and choreography.

Beautiful Triple Twist to start.

Double Salchow beautiful too.

Camille fall on Triple Toe. So no combination.

Axel Lasso lift good. And so was Death Spiral.

I liked that we stop and pose.

Sorry, I was concentratung too much on working out if I kew the second song to comment. But, what they were doing during it was good.

Everything during "7 Nation Army" was good too.

I like the ending pose!

They don't seem thrilled coming off the ice. Camille thinks she's blown it for them.

Big group hug with Bruno when waiting for the scores.

They go into 4th in the FS, and 3rd overall.

You could tell from the face Camille pulled how she felt.



Nevertheless, fall aside, it was still great. So:

Well-choreographed program (good job Benoit), amazing throws, strong lifts, errors on the SBS jumps but easily the best skate of the competition segment

Jiaxuan ZHANG / Yihang HUANG CHN cast a spell over the arena. One mistake but again a really strong impression and beautiful program. I think they just qualified. Lovely program story about a bird afraid to fly.

I must’ve been in a daze or something when Japan skated but I see they are in second right now….SO THEY MADE IT!!! YAHOO!!!

The second half was great, esp. the lift mid-program was lovey. Hopefully, someone will keep working with them on developing skating skills, and they have potential in expression.

If ZHANG Jiaxuan / HUANG Yihang (CHN) go into 3rd position, I will have got the Top 4 in the correct positions in my Predictions.

But, that's not going to happen. They are going to either win or finish a close 2nd.

Everything about that was absolutely beautiful.

They skated this without a fall at the Asian Open, but this was still a very good skate. There is something about this program that just tugs at my heartstrings, the sensitivity of the music and the choreography. This feels like an Olympic program, and might actually be my favourite pairs program (so far) this season, and it was the moment I first saw it at the Asian Open Trophy. I also love their costumes, the colour grading is gorgeous.

I wonder which team will get to use the spot, I mean if Han Cong is healthy of course Sui/Han should get to use it but I doubt that he is... Zhang/Huang also have quality elements, expression leaves things to be desired but wouldn't it be too big a risk to just pray that Han Cong's back will survive somehow

Apparently Ekaterina Geynish / Dmitrii Chigirev (UZB) have split, but it hasn't been officially announced yet.

It's so sad that at least one of these teams will not make it

There's a faint chance of the Uzbek team having split (I heard that he retired and she is trying out with Marco Zandron, but I have no evidence for this), so maybe all four get to make it after all
