2025 Skate to Milano Women's Free Skate

And quads are risky, if you fall on a quad it is less worth than if you had done a triple instead.
I think that's the bottom line in trying to make predictions. No matter what you can do on paper, there is still the actual performance to get through.

Petrosian with quads may be competitive but no certain win unlike the past Russians. She might earn say another 20 points for the quad but Kaori, Alhyssa and Amber can score high 70's low 80s in the sp and then 156 ish in the lp which means a score o ver 235 at least. mahbe 240. Petrosian's pcs will hold her back so she might be competitive. But unless she is scoring over 170 in the fs like past Russian ladies things aren't so clear.

If she restores 3A as well as one quad, it will give her technical advantage. One quad doesn't provide 20 points advantage overall triple of the same jump, not even if one lands it like Kagiyama, not even when it's a 4A vs 3A. A visible technical advantage starts when a quad is landed at least twice in a free skate, in a combination and a stand alone.

Aleka with her content from last season is nigh on unbeatable, not to mention only Kaori should be ahead of her in PCS.

Well, mission accomplished for Petrosyan.Still, I was kind of hoping that she would lay down a challenge going forward and give the other international stars something to think about from now to February.
I actually like that she held back, and I'm hoping it's a sign that her team isn't having her peak too early in the season. It reminds me a bit of Michelle Kwan, who always looked vulnerable before Nationals but then tended to nail it between then and Worlds.

If.

Yes, that what I said: IF. Do you want me to say "ONLY IF" or use italics? And no, Sakomoto is not the only one who 'should' be ahead of Petrosian in PCS. There is no should in skating, since it is a judged sport and a panel has a large range of interpretation on PCS with multiple factions ad philosophies in this specific area. It is politics, but it is specifically politics of ideas about PCSs, not related to ethnicity and nationality. That also exists, obviously, but I don't have time for another impassionate speech in favor of logic and understanding that judges are both humans and specialists.

I'm not going to clip a gold medal on anyone before the last skater has their scores announced. I strongly suggest to anyone I care about to not do it either, let alone argue in advance with someone who projects differently. You might as well go comb every prediction thread and get into fights with every person whose prediction are different from yours.

Im sorry but I cant find anything in regards to this. Why are score from judge no5 in womens FS missing? was there a medical emergency?

If they're all doing the same jumps, Kaori would come out on top. Alyssa still has a serious issue with rotating her jumps, and Amber is almost never clean in big events so I don't think they would be a serious threat to a good Russian skater if she's clean with seven triples. That said, I can't see Russia sending a woman to the Olympics who doesn't have at least a solid 3A or quad.

I'm honestly more confident that Petrosyan will have the 4T and 4T+2T in Milan more than the 3A. The 4T have been the easiest and most consistent ultra element for her.

Based on the latest interview of Eteri, the PCS that Petrosyan got is actually where they are predicting it to be so it wasn't shocking and that pretty much confirmed now how their game plan will be. By the sound of it, it's consistent quad or nothing for her in Milan. Looks like they are going to the Shcherbakova Beijing route where they will bank on her consistency quad rather than jumping bunch of inconsistent ultra elements and hope that it will be enough for gold.

Weird question on my mind, Do you guys thing she ( Adeliia Petrosian ) will be having new programs or using the ones we have seen at the qualifier? I heard a breath of wind saying they r hiding the new ones as a "surprise" but I'm genuinely curious if we will be getting something new from her?
