2025 Russian Senior Test Skates

I freakin love Alissa-she has it all. Power, personality, PCS, great spins. Not one weakness. Too many leg kicks in the program but that is an Eteri thing.

I'm so sorry, Alisa, I do not like this. I don't really like the dress, I don't like the "dramatic", mumbly Abba cover at the beginning or the piano cover in the middle. The only good part was from the step sequence on, which she also seemed to really enjoy. She looks to be in good shape, though, successfully including two quads already this early in the season.

I'm fairly certain her boots are broken down and she either can't get new boots right now (problems in production, etc.) or she didn't want to break in new skates so shortly before Test Skates, so this is how she made them last just a little bit longer.

I thought the same, that the tape is not accessory but actually holding her skates together. Do really hope she can get new skates if she needs them because seeing her skating like that does not feel good or reassuring at all. Go luck to Anna!

I actually find myself really liking this program and the dress as well. It's not fully fleshed out yet, but a good base with some very good parts already. Some errors on the jumps, but she just competed last week, so it's understandable for her to maybe be a bit tired.

My skater is here. We need to lock in.

Mura said that this dress is not the final one as Benoit has to approve the costumes for his programs, and I don't know whether to be relieved (because this is a little much, imo) or dreading it (... he has a particular style he likes).

Mura is almost unrecognisable as a skate.

I made a comment yesterday. I think this will be the final season for Mura and Akatieva. They both struggle, and it's not a sudden thing based on this weekend, but a degradation over the past 18 months.

Someone needs to stop this girl. If she keeps skating like that, I am gonna cry. 🥹

I know objectively the program might not be some sort of transcendental masterpiece, but, I can already tell I am gonna miss it like crazy when its gone.

I like the program, I actually think Benoit's style works really well for Mura. Some of the jumps were a bit wobbly, but that's not unusual for Mishin's skaters at Test Skates and generally they tend to look good by the time competitions really start.

She seems fairly settled and happy under Mishin, though also clearly a bit exhausted and not completely overjoyed.

Hm, I think that looked better than what she was doing last season. Some of those jumps looked great. And it was very emotional.

And her SP is really good as well.
