The article about the short programs on Ice Network's website says Meissner got an UR called on her 3 loop and got level 1s on her other elements. I don't know what the technical caller was thinking. The 3 loop was fully rotated.

I just felt a little be interesting. In the last couple of GP events, when someone pointed that the British commentators and the NBC commentators said Kim Yuna's flip was a flip and lots of posts here said that commentators are only commentators, they'are not tec sepcialist, and when someone said there are few skaters have some take-off edge as Kim Yuna's filp and didn't get a "e" and other said don't not consider about others, because Kim did it so she should be punished.
No hostility for Kimmie. I also surprised about her marks, but I will need to see her programs with a clean view and then see the details first. Hope she has a very good LP and move up tomorrow.

After watching Meissner's program, I thought overall her SA performance was better (save the fall), but that score should definitely be in the 50s. Someone on the Tech Team had a lapse, I think.

Interesting that Kimmie followed Caroline in changing the flip to a loop. and she still did not do it clean.

Not Kim is perfect. She is not and I do think Kim did Lip and argued about that she should get punish as others. What's I feel is some posts here is too worried about the US ladies field, US always have the best ladies in the world, if not on the top but also on the podium, but in the last two worlds, there were no US ladies in the top three so people are so hungry to find the ONE. Then this season, it's still seems not that good and someones seems to blame everything, the skaters, the coaches, the judges etc.
I mean the US ladies do have some problems actually, why not take some time to fix them. They are still really young, and immolate some time on correcting bad tec will get more and more medals reward to them.

Sorry about my poor English, I am not good at English so always can't find the correct words to deliver my thoughts.

Awww... c'mon, give the kid a little slack!!! She's our best shot and she missed a training session coz of her luggage got missing. Gladly it was found on time!!! Next Time Rachel, please carry your boots in a handbag and just leave the blades in the luggage.

If Kim's team argued over just a "!"... I cant see why Kimmie's team hasnt protested yet.

For those of us stuck in Dial Up Hell due to being in a very Rural area and can't handle streaming videos, please also share the YouTube links to the performances.

Thank you!!

Greetings, fellow sufferer in Dialup Hell!

Take heart, you must be in a higher ring of hell than I am, because my particular dialup in effect does not allow Youtube any more than streaming, unless I'm willing to wait about 10-15 mins of buffering for every 1 minute of footage (unless the resolution quality and thus the file size is very low).

But it was clean. :) The judges need to have their eyes checked.

Yeah, it looked like a beautiful, CLEAN loop to me, and I watched it several times over to try and see what the judges possibly could have seen to call it UR, but I just don't get it.

Thank you for that link.
Some quotes from the eurosport commentators

"her best effort in 12 months"
"just lovely to watch"

after the score
"48.08.,..thats very strange....is that right?"

I still can't get my head around Kimmie's score.

I don't think its Flatt that's boring its that program/music. How did they come up with Moonriver of all the music for a 16 year old girl.

I agree. She had great, sassy programs last year which perfectly suited her. She also has lovely arms which even most "mature" ladies would kill for. I just think Moonriver is hard to pull off for anyone who doesn't have the look of Audrey Hapburn. It would've been a perfect piece for Alissa who did wonders with Sabrina. Light blue dress doesn't help either. I really hope Mrs. Mcdonough comes up with better color that compliment Rachael's complexion.
Regardless, I love Rachael's qualities. I just hope she will play "safe" and go for
3z-3t. She was very consistent with that combo, and she can easily score above 60.

Well if it looks clean then their should be some type of protest. Why doesn't Mr. Callahan question the judges deductions? I'm mad!
