So while I much prefer this Scottish FD to what we got from F/G recently (the Beyonce FD was just not good) it is still pretty much within the same good ol' formula of upbeat music-mandatory tempo change slow music-back to upbeat music played for the crowd, I mean if you're served mashed potatoes every year you will not enjoy it as much even if the potatoes are done well

You mean to say that Cizeron has no skating technique and is replacing it with body movement ?

Not what I'm saying. Obviously his movement over the blade and kneebend, and his leg lines are phenomenal (although his push extentions dont feel as strong as when he is with gabby). I just think his lower body posture in certain aspects of skating is weaker than Lewis and Marco, e.g. he breaks a lot at the hips to me in crossovers.

Yikes, they are going to push LBC ahead of them, aren´t they. I don´t think the lead from the RD will be enough

Love them, love this program. The story of their partnership - I would walk 500 miles...

Okay, I get you about the FD, although it's very much their style, but what is so extravagant about the RD ?

Well I actually really enjoyed this event. I wasn't invested in any particular placements and just enjoyed the offerings at face value. Lots to like and lots I will enjoy seeing over the season.

Fear/Gibson almost held on the 1st place, almost. They still needed over 1 points more or the French one point less for the FD.

On the topic of Guillaume, as someone who was always a fan/supporter of him with Gabby and who thought he was this legendary artist, this whole partnership with Laurence really has me questioning how great an artist he really is when he and his team have only resorted to trying to mold Laurence into Gabby and copy P/C choreography, costuming, and program styles instead of creating programs where both in the partnership have their own unique identity. Turns out Guillaume’s artistry is severely limited to only lyrical style programs and truly lacks versatility. It doesn’t make the skating and programs of F-B/C memorable. To echo Neve Campbell in “Scream 4”, “You forgot the first rule of remakes: Don't f**k with the original!”
