Chisato looked a bit uncomfortable with the twizzles but other than that she seems to be learning and adjusting well

They only skated their RD at Chris Reed Trophy. All ice show performances were of their exhibition program.

Can't wait for their FD.... I hope they can get enough TES for that Golden Spin assignment.

Not to be very shallow about this but man Ikura and Koshiro really have insane levels of visual compatibility. Probably the same insane long legs and arms but they look stunning.

OT but I already missed the GP Men's SP practice so I guess this competition spared me from having to watch my emotionally and brain broken struggle child be all depressed and moody while throwing himself into the boards (to emphasize how narrow the rink is) and slamming his body on to the ice after violently opening up on jumps for dramatic effect...twice...today..I also expect to see it happen during the SP event
Hopefully he'll feel embarrassed by the way he's carrying on and will actually try to land something

I watched some ice dance on twitter, IkuKo did amazing, they are so expressive. They seem to be really well matched, I hope they can skate together for a long time. RikaShin looked suprisingly good for one month old team, especially considering Rika is completely new to ice dance. I loved AyuTomo, very cute and charming.

@tsuyoboogie I always appreciate your videos, you include the k&c and replays which is so helpful!

I enjoyed both Rika/Shingo and Ikura/Koshiro. Rika and Shingo were very neat overall, they've clearly been working hard on the ice dance basics and Shingo has a lot of expertise in dance, but they seemed a little bit slow and hesitant throughout. Ikura and Koshiro were really messy in terms of ice dance, they're clearly still figuring out basic holds, free leg placements, matching with each other, and dance stroking. It's understandable because they're both so new to dance. That being said, they're so exciting to watch, they both have gorgeous long limbs and great musical sensitivity, they're engaging performers, and I think they have a lot of potential to be molded into strong dancers.
