One of the many things I like about the Men's discipline is the music and find it far more interesting than the Women's music, which is often a lot of "pretty ballads." But there has been a lot of Men's FS snoozy music today.

Stephen is really going for everything and not holding back, but is looking pretty rough on most of his jumping passes. Bummer. I really think that this program is much better than anything he's ever done and has a ton of really interesting and complicated transitional content. Just need to get him about 15% more speed overall - I think that is something that he could achieve by the end of the season for sure.

I'm glad Stephen is more stable and fighting through the end of his programs I just want him to spend some time on his presentation before the very end of the program. Hopefully we'll see more attention paid to that in coming years.

Well, Gogo had a great chance to really stake his claim for the Olympic spot, and I'm not sure he has done so. I suspect he may get some tech calls.

Such a glorious piece of music, and Gogolev doesn’t relate to it at all. Such a shame.

I actually enjoyed Egadze more than this, something I never thought I’d say. At least Egadze is trying

Not perfect but also not a distaster by Gogo. This music is too big for his abilities imo.

Stephen has loads of technical ability and his performances are improving, but someone needs to help him with his arms/hand positions - his skating would look so much better (IMO) if his arms were properly extended and his hands were stretched.

Yeah especially with Torgashev, Naumov, Ma, and Sanchez in there. I realize they're wild cards, but still...I think they might merit more consideration than Hiwatashi for what he put out today.

Of course I’m rooting for my fiancé but I expect them to send Torgashev even though he has a history of blowing up in big events.
