interesting... some Chinese teams use to hide their SBS as the first elements... hoping the judges wouldn't remember them making a mess of them later on.... same strategy here.. we will see if it pays off

Ugh, Emily’s SBS jumps! Take those away and that was a gorgeous skate by Emily and Spencer! So much speed and expression and all the non-jump elements were stellar today.

Not bad. SBS are most pairs teams Achilles heels. But, at least they aren't messing up their other elements.

So @4everchan might think that my aesthetic appreciation of Chan/Howe might be coloring my view of this skate. Probably rightly so. Still I enjoyed their lifts and seeing them here despite mishaps.

Jumps weren’t quite working (although the throw 3S was great), but this is a great program. I really liked the entry and exit out of the death spiral and there are some beautiful choreographic monents throughout. This is the sort of program that needs to be clean.

123.58 FS and 187.40 overall for C/H, keeping them in good stead for an Olympic spot. For perspective, L/B scored 116.10 FS and 181.60 overall and S/N scored 117.18 FS and 179.25 overall at the Ice Challenge this weekend.

I thought C/H had more speed and outskated E/M tonight, but E/M finish ahead.
