2025 Skate America Free Dance

Don't. There are more of us out there that root for C/P. They are still young enough if they have the desire to continue. I agree that the programs this year did not suit them.
You are not alone. I love CPom too but it does feel like they need to make quite a bit of improvement this year compared to last years programmes….I really noticed Christina not finishing her lines today. But I’m sure Madi Hubbell will help her improve on that when they get back to training.

So impressed by Madi and Evan's skate, and I don't even like flamenco/Spanish/tango themes. I always expect them to challenge themselves and they do. Glad I listened to Jean-Luc during the practices pointing out the details that put them a step above the other teams. Now I feel knowledgeable.

So glad the long red is gone, but I am sure some red will return at some point. ;)

I think this would have been better with actual flamenco music, instead of a pop cover. Loses the impact it might have had
I think they know that wouldn't play to their strengths; the plan is sophisticated, elegant, elevated. It felt fresh, but something is missing. I didn't understand the points between them and LaLa. It should have been closer.

C/B were wow! for me though I loved all three top teams and happy they all ended on the podium. But that stark black costume and black tights....

Lariko to Mrazkova: you don't know me, but I beg you! This is what you need! Make it sheer. Make it golden. Make it embroiderd like a shawl. Anything. And I will hear Malaguena without shuddering again.

Firstly, Rolling Stones are a rock band, not a pop band, and Paint it Black is not exactly a pop song either. And I can't call this cover pop. Secondly, I personally think that not skating it to traditional flamenco music makes this FD more interesting and original, the same as it was with the flamenco FDs of Laurence Fournier-Beaudry and he who shall not be named.

All outperformed by the team that didn't even qualify to FD.
You make it sound like they were outperformed by some weak (or previously weak) team, but we all know that what happened to Reed/Ambrulevicius at the last Worlds was something really unexpected and out of the ordinary for them, and, to be honest, last season they were not in their best form overall.

JLB did such a great job teaching us and being very fair to all the skaters. I have been trying to share these practice videos as much as I can because he and Jackie Wong were so informative.

Chock and Bates cemented themselves as at least co favourites with Guillaume and Laurence. And we see the fight for the second French spot is going to be interesting. I still think LaLa need to find a program that is fulliy them that they can seell but their talent is obvious They have put a good argument that they are ahead of CP and France no. 2. I think Fear and Gibson are third which leaves, again, Gillesd and Porier in the ag ony of defeat position in fourth followed by the Italians unless the judges let LaLa past them. I would encourage teams to stick around to worlds because depending on who wins a team or two may not be going to worlds and that could open a spot or two on the podium. Remember last olyjmpics in pairs the no. 11 team I think got third. afterr everyoen dropped out and retired.
