2025 GP Finlandia Trophy Men's Free Skate

Vasiljev’s program is very empty. So if he doesn’t skate clean there’s nothing much left. Nice spread eagle at the end, but strangely, that highlighted the nothingness of everything before it. He could do better than this.

Pretty sure Valtter was talking about the blood on the ice to the officials, but he decided to just skate anyway (he said "it doesn't matter to me"). Mark mentioned they were cleaning the blood while Valtter is waiting for his score.

Aha! That would explain the discussion.

I just assumed that Andreas' mishap had happened after Valtter had come off the ice.

Yes, it all ties in and makes sense now.

Thank you for checking.  :points:

I was overcome with a sense of sadness realizing that this may be the last GP event we see skaters like Jimmy and Deniss. I think a lot of these skaters who have been on the circuit for many years feel the same feelings that Piper Gilles expressed yesterday. A lot of them have to be feeling why are we still doing this? Sometimes I have the feeling of why am I still watching? I suspect as these last remaining skaters I have been watching for years retire from the sport, I will likely do the same. It’s simply not the same sport I fell in love with years ago. The ISU has even managed to destroy ice dancing of all things. Such a pity! :(

Waaait Andreas already cut himself during the warm up???? I thought it happen when he went on the ice after Valters skate. So he already had been bleeding for at least 10 minutes when he went on and skated?

I think Deniss felt overwhelmed at Boston Worlds, as he was the only male skater there in 2016 and 2025.
