She fought for GP finals, but she lost today...

A difficult skate for Rion. Down on the 4T, but she's up again, and seemingly unaffected, if the 2A-3T is anything to go by. Ooh, the fall on the salchow landing has me wincing for her left knee and both ankles. Beautiful Ina Bauer in the choreo sequence. I love the knee slide exit for her flying change foot combo spin, and I still adore the turn she does in the step sequence, with her arms up; it reminds me of ballet character dances. Oh, she has a beautiful flower crown!

it used to be a thing 20 years + ago... A planned fall on the quad that you do not have was still worth more points for some men, when there were more jumping passes (8) It was worth it as otherwise, they had to include an extra double axel... . but things evolve..

In this case, the planned fall is worse because it has probably messed something up with her... this is a disastrous skate

Yes but for Rion is more trying to get ahead of other Japanese girls. Even saying that she has a quad as the only one in the field now surely is something.
