Notte Stellata | Mar 7, 8 and 9, 2026

... and another article in English, this time from Mainichi Japan Daily News.
This is incredible to have so many articles providing information in English. Clearly they are finally aware of Yuzuru's popularity abroad and the huge numbers of people seeking info and buying tickets while not speaking Japanese. That's awesome!!!!

The coverage in Japan of the announcement has been wonderful, even greater than last year...
Oh, yeah, after all it is the superstar coming out of the maintenance period, long time no see :)

Plus Nittele TV will show the last year's Notte Stellata Day 1 on December 14, 21 and 28, adding to the new 2026 show's PR and benefitting from the buzz about it too, so it is a mutual gain :clap::clap:

I wonder if they knew beforehand the date of the announcement so they could seek sync..., somehow I doubt it is a pure coincidence... ;)

The special guests for Notte Stellata will be the Tohoku Youth Orchestra 🥹

The members of this special orchestra, founded and directed by the late legendary composer and musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, are mainly from the 3 prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake (Iwate/Miyagi/Fukushima) & are elementary/ jr high/ high school/ university students. This brings another layer of meaning to the show, and I am imagining how much it will mean to everyone if they perform some of Ryuichi Sakamoto's music.

This is great news indeed!!! And while I would have never guessed it would be them specifically, it does not feel totally surprising at all. Actually, I thought Yuzu would reach out in some completely different direction after having Nomura-san as the last year's special guest (well, he was reaching in a completely different direction each year so far, TBH). And after what he said announcing the 2026 show about reaching out to young people to pass to them the memory and lessons learnt, I actually suspected the special guest would be someone of the next generation. It felt to me like he was preparing the ground for this next announcement. And here it comes. And there is some undeniable logic to it - after having in the recognized sage of old age, bring in the youth

His choice is awesome. And I am pretty sure the young musicians are thrilled with the invitation, as Sakamoto-san would have been.
I wonder, will Yuzu skate to them playing, and if so, what this would be? Would it be one of Sakamoto-san masterpieces? If so, it would be awesome and would feel so right indeed! But the choice is ... wide, to say the least.

Great!!!

Ryuichi Sakamoto has been known for many things but not everyone knows he once went to Tohoku just after the earthquake, found a broken piano which survived tsunami and made it whole again.
He is the man behind the Tokohu Youth Orchestra that will perform for Notte Stellata 2026 :rock:
Another epic collaboration!

Notte Stellata official webpage has been substantially updated, with seat and ticket plans, useful information and links to enter the lotteries for tickets and for tours.
Please note there is a separate eplus link to enter the ticket lottery from outside of Japan.
You may need to use your browser translation tool to translate the page to English (recommended) :)
Enjoy and good luck.
