Adeliia Petrosian won the Olympic qualifying event in Beijing last September. She has a quad but rumor has it she has been suffering injuries. She's a Eteri student

I thought she was stunning - and holy moly, that's a gorgeous dress. I hope she goes to 4CC or Worlds, if someone chooses not to.

Without question, in terms of posture she is the superior skater. Definitely very classy and classic, which I love. I'd suggest when you zoom out, she's slower and doesn't have a much ice coverage, but she's definitely very refined

But will the judges? Internationally? I think the US judges just sent Alysa a subtle message: this isn't the program for the Olympics. Despite skating it cleanly, her PCS were behind Levito - which I don't think is a good sign, especially as she goes up against the Japanese skaters... her previous program may be cheesy, but it's an unashamed kind of exuberant cheesiness that has proven to work already...Crowd loving Alysa’s new program

I agree with you that Alyssa made a mistake in moving away from last year's program and rolling the dice with Lady Gaga but I'm not exactly sure why arrest in the middle of the program has to be a PCS killer? I mean, if she just stands there for 20 seconds, yeah, I agree! Was it that bad though? Honest question

Unfortunately, International judges are not going to be as impacted by music popularity Factor as the typical US spectator, I don't think.

Personally I think her time would have been better spent working the triple axle into her previous program, then working out the Kinks of an entirely new program which I really just don't think is going to take her as far
1. Amber
I am so proud of Amber!!!! She has grown so much, going from someone who struggled so much with nerves and believing in herself, she could rarely put two cleanish skates together. Now she has gained confidence and taken control over her skating and on top of that learned how to do the most beautiful, clean triple axel I have seen by a woman.
I love her SP, I have never seen her connect and perform at that level for the audience the way she did on Wednesday. Amber is the top skater in the US and maybe also in the world when she maximizes her full potential. She is well rounded and the best mix of the technical and artistic.
2. Alysa
Alysa is always so consistent and I am impressed she maintained that consistency with a new free program. I was surprised and delighted in the SP that the lutz-loop combo looked cleanish. Her SP is so well put together and sophisticated. Her FS is not and that is a problem for medaling at the Olympics. It does not have the refinement that a program should have by this point in the season and the music does not suit her. This music calls for someone with the performance abilities and drama level of Kevin Aymoz. She should just go back to her old FS at this point. Alysa is in a position where her placement depends upon the mistakes made by other top skaters. I can see her placing anywhere from 1st to 6th at the olympics.
3. Isabeau
She looked really solid here, she has bounced back well from her injury. I felt that she was more than 1 point better than Alysa in the FS. Her toe jump technique is still really sketchy but she seems to mask it more with some extra speed. Due to this her placement is also a little dependent upon mistakes made by other top skaters.
4. Bradie
I am really proud of Bradie, that FS was the best I have seen from her in years! The jumps looked a lot more rotated today than they did earlier on in the season. She is my one bittersweet moment of this event. Bradie was better today than when she won nationals and went to the olympics 8 years ago. Her programs, styling, and performance are mature and refined now. Unfortunately for Bradie, the top 3 skaters are so strong this year and already came into the competition with a really strong body of work, I think in many other years she would have been enough to make an olympic team. She should definitely be named first alternate and sent to four continents.
5. Sarah
She got her jumping consistency back. She now has a bit of an under rotation problem which is a bit surprising. Her performance is not there yet. I don't really like the FS or the costume. I don't understand why she was ahead of Bradie in the SP but luckily that was corrected in the overall rankings.
6. Sophie Joline von Felten
She is clearly the future of the sport if she maintains her technical abilities. Two clean triple axels in a FS is impressive. On the performance side she still needs to develop a lot but she is young. I thought her FS was a bit underscored.
7. Star
Bittersweet to see Star go, but probably a smart move for her. It is probably not motivating to be USA #6 or #7 forever.
Shoutout to Emila, I was not familiar with her but she looks really promising. She looks and skates so much like Loena Hendrix! I can see her and Sophie eventually being stars of US figure skating.
Overall, this was a great ladies event. The SP and FS were well skated by the top skaters. The sportsmanship and friendship between the skaters is always nice to see.

Yeah I agree there is a scenario where a Gaga program could have been good with the right song(s) and composition. The British ice dance team had a good Gaga program a few years ago. Kevin Aymoz takes a smart approach where the Gaga music is only at the end of the program for the step sequence.The mistake isn't Gaga, it's the wrong Gaga song. It's too slow. I'd have her set the ice on fire with this one instead:

And I love that part of Kevin's program. It's perfect for him.
Bluntly, the program is terrible. Should have finished well behind Bradie, IMO. Nothing about it is good. The music mix is weird and and a mishmash. The choreography is boring and totally unmemorable. There's nothing about it that's Olympic. It looks like it belongs in juniors. It's also painfully clear that it's not really ready for prime time yet.
On on a shallow note, please someone take her bleach bottle away. The comparison I want to make is too unkind to post.

Great job by the top ladies. I am a little disappointed Starr wasn't so much a star. Amber stood up to the pressure and kudos to her! I Amber showed she has the strength mentall y to do it. Bravo to Isabeau and Bradie who refued to lose. Now Alyssa. She may say she skates for herself but this skater is killing her chances with poor strategy. She commented after the short she did not schedule in her 3A for nationals - practicing but she worked on a new free skate - never skated before espeically the international judges. poor decision. so she thinks she can introduce a new freeskate to the Olympics and add a 3A she has not performed in competition in over 3 years. WHo needs enemies when you self destruct on your own. Add to that her bizarre new hairstyle - big no. I know she is a rebel I did it my way but I think she is killing her chances for a gold medal and it is all on her. Her competitiors must be deep down thrilled. She can say she did it her way but at what a cost.

That's what I mean. The split group is nothing new, and I'm sure they try to do it as fairly as possible. I was there for the early group too

I don’t know her but I get the impression she skates for herself. Not the judges and certainly not USFS. If USFS keeps the reigning WC and GPF champion at home because they don’t like her hair or her program they are fools.
I’m so excited to see how Starr does in pairs. Katie was the same situation, making but not medaling at US Nationals and look at her now.
