For the first one, they are dressed as skates. Yes, seriously.

For the second one, they are wearing tin foil costumes with tassles. Yes, seriously.

Well, the second song was actually different words to the same tune.

I don't know what to say. It was very VERY weird.

Well, that brought an end to the Italian / British hegemony that we have had so far in the second half.

Anastasiia METELKINA / Luka BERULAVA (GEO) were next.

Nastya was wearing a silver dressing gown, while Luka was yet another wearing a black shirt and black trusers combination.

But not for long!

They soon took them off to reveal costumes from the Streetfighter games.

Didn't know the first song. But the second half was to "True" by Spandau Ballet.

That was fun!

Btw, what is it with the man swinging the woman around like this. We have seen this more often recently. I thought it was forbidden, and tbh I get worried every time that something goes wrong and the woman crashes her head on the ice. Not good at all! It doesn't look that good either, so why do it?

I loved that during the intro she replicated what happened in the show.

And during the programme, she acted out the murders being described on fellow skaters behind the boards.

I loved the ingenuity of this programme.

@elektra blue - I know you don't normally do Galas, but you really need to watch this programme from your daughter! It was absoutely brilliant!

Our final programme is from Laurence FOURNIER BEAUDRY / Guillaume CIZERON (FRA)

Laurence is wearing a gorgeous red dress. Guillaume is wearing a trousers that match, and what can only be described as a red mesh vest.

As for the programme, it is the sort of thing that you would expect from them.

The audience in Sheffield deserves special credit. They greatly contributed to the show with their passion. Of course were patriotic with their own skaters but from what I have seen I never felt they were unfair to the others.
