Alisa EFIMOVA / Misha MITROFANOV (USA) skating to a cover of Andy WIlliams' "Where Do I Begin?" That song always gets me.

I know I've told this story before, but when I was a kid a had a mechanism from a music box, and it played this tune. And I have loved the tune ever since.

Didn't think much of the film it is from, "Love Story", when I finally watched it last year.

Rarely are the sbs jumps in a program a true highlight, but here they were. Love those loops. I also enjoy their speed an flow over the ice. Nice job overall.

Put their sbs jumps and the Chinese team's throws and you would have an unbeatable pairs team

Team JPN have come such a long way in the last six months. Shame about the throws which are normally so solid. They still have a very promising future.

Nagaoka and Moriguchi have improved a lot this season. I think they are ready to take over as Japan's no.1 pair for the next Olympic cycle (I can't see Riyuchi Kihara managing the physical demands much longer).
