I agree with you that they are equally valuable discussions to be had on a skating website. Sure, skaters get comments about their skating all the time from coaches and judges, and are far more immune to criticism there and are supposed to be by the time they get to the Olympics, but I agree that all comments, whether personal or otherwise, must affect them equally.

Stats mean something in context of how the measurement is made. Just plain numbers need to have additional context. If you were to look at Siao Him Fa's jumps, they would be done with flawed technique, which causes him to have less distance usually. Do you have the distance measurements on those stats? You do not. And yet, here you are.
