That was a great interview that Tiffany Zahorski just did with Julia Sauter.

Julia said that her previous best score was 174, so she would have been delighted with a180. She was not expecting to get a 190!

She also said that she achieved what she wanted to on Tuesday, so today was just a bonus.

A pretty good bonus if you ask me!

TNT Sports / Eurosport then showed her reaction again, and used it to link into an already prepared feature on great reactions from across the Olympics.

Honestly, I think Julia's was the better!

68 for PCS is not some unusual FS score for Amber

Though I don't love this answer - Jia's still up and coming,
she hasn't build much momentum this season, and Amber
is already GPF Champion among other things, Sometimes
that's just how judges operate
Jia is 4-time Junior Worlds silver medalist and a YOG silver medalist though..... and those would have been golds if not for the engima that is Mao Shimada

Now Carolina Kostner is interviewing Shizuka Arakawa!!!

Ah, she's speaking Japanese, and Simon is giving us the translation.

A great skate from Amber, I loved it. A SB and into 1st. I expect her to rise in the rankings even quite a lot.
I was wondering whether she'd go for two triple axels but she didn't which makes sense even though she's far in the standings after the short. Just not easy to add there.

You just give an answer how unfair and biased judges are, which should never be the case 😂

German fed is like :bang::bang::bang::drama:
We are happy to have Julia represent Romania, at least the skating fans! Really grateful for her and her performance. I was feeling so serene watching her, she alluded confidence and assurance. I may be biased but I really liked this program for her

Look at Ami, She built all of her momentum entering the senior ranks this season,
Jia had some rough skates in the GP series and it seems like between the two fo those
any Junior history doesn't really matter to the judges.
