Mixed bag for Albin. He had some very nice, neat jumping passes but also two falls and a few stumbles. I think he's promising, though, maybe just a little tired today.

Not the skate Albin wanted. Sigh .... after all these many years of watching fs, I've come to the conclusion that I am NEVER going to stop feeling badly for skaters who underperform when it counts. They train so hard; and then along comes the competition, and it doesn't go well. My husband gets so very frustrated when his fave hockey team loses a game .... he could never survive being a figure skating fan.

I am trying to get organized while watching.. I heard Exo so I took care of garbage... sorry.

Qihan gives me the vibes of a diamond in the rough. You can see that he's starting to try and connect to the music and the choreography, at least in parts, and the jumps are starting to materialise and the competitive mentality is there too, it just needs some more shaping, confidence and consistency.

generation after generation, Georgian skaters are sort of all looking the same type.

Also, Qihan is a good example of how differently Juniors (particularly at Jr Worlds) and Seniors (at Challengers) get scored - 4 points higher in TES but over 10 points lower in PCS than he got at the Denis Ten Memorial.
